Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center will host the 23rd Annual Ride-A-Thon on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at the Shooting Star Trailhead of Rock Bridge Memorial State Park. The event will be held from 9am to 2pm and feature a 10-mile trail ride, lunch by the guys from Allepo Grotto, raffles, door prizes, awards and the opportunity to have your picture taken with Roy Rogers and his pearl handled pistols. Come join the fun and help to support a great cause!
Cedar Creek is a non-profit agency that has served the Mid-Missouri area since 1988. Led by Founder and Executive Director Karen Grindler, the center provides therapy to more than 200 riders per year in 8-week Spring, Summer and Fall sessions. Cedar Creek requires many volunteers to assist with the therapy and make riding safe and fun for the people who come each week. Cedar Creek is accredited by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship organization, the umbrella organization for all Equine Therapy. Cedar Creek is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Cedar Creek is not a United Way agency and receives no Federal or State funding, but relies on donations from individuals and organizations to continue their success.
