When I was a kid Halloween consisted of a single night of trick-or-treating door-to-door in our neighborhood and a costume parade at our elementary school. Now Halloween lasts for days with dozens of opportunities to celebrate, some of which don’t even involve candy! There’s fun to be had at Bass Pro Shops, Michaels, Going Bonkers, HyVee and trick or trunk at local churches. But if you’re looking for something different than the usual, these are the must attend events.
