CoMo Tech: Kerrie Bloss

Who are you?

To quote Liz Phair “I am just your ordinary – average every day sane psycho, supergoddess!” I am a social working, brand evangelizing, networking, connecting, leading, spunky and sassy woman!

What do you do for money?

I am the Program Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri. I’ve been with BBBS for 12.5 years and am doing what I love and loving what I do!

What do you do for fun?

I try to have as much as possible! I enjoy going to wineries, festivals, concerts, volunteering and being part of this awesome community we live in, reading, watching movies, traveling/taking road trips, spending time with my friends and family and tailgating and taking in Mizzou games when I can! Oh and my secret life of sweepstaking! I’m always up for a new adventure.

I would characterize my relationship with technology as:

a great relationship, well rounded and perhaps too dependent at times!

Smart or dumb phone? What kind? If smart, what are the three apps you use most?

Smart phone! I’m an iPhone girl. Top apps would be:

Mac or PC or Other?

I use Twitter for:

I hadn’t used my personal account for awhile until we started our Columbia for Joplin campaign and knew that social media was the best way to spread the news about our endeavor. Now I use it for quick news updates, random chatter, spreading the news about events and activities I am involved in, etc.

I use Facebook for:

EVERYTHING! Connecting with friends and family, networking, spreading positivity, learning about businesses and events in the area, etc

Do you read any blogs? What are three of your favorites?

If I had more hours in my days I would probably read some blogs, but currently nothing regular.

Go-to menu item and restaurant in CoMo?

If I can only have one, today I’ll go with Thai Chicken Salad at Addison’s.

Complete this sentence: Archers of Loaf is:

a great band name!

Friends are visiting from out-of-town. You’re for-sure taking them to:

any of my favorite locally owned restaurants, Trops, a winery, some great festival in town, a play at Columbia Entertainment Company, The District, wait, how long are they in town for?

My second-favorite city/town/hamlet/state/country/province in the world is:

Venice, Italy – I’ve only been once but I’d go back in a heartbeat – the city is amazing!!

Thanks, Kerrie!
