Because I love you and don’t want you to miss out, I am introducing a new feature here on the blog called “Cool Event Alert.” That way you will never be sitting at home checking Twitter/Facebook and see updates from something you would have loved. You can thank me in person the next time we see each other at one of these not to be missed activities.
First up on deck is the Pedaler’s Jamboree happening Memorial Day weekend along the Katy Trail. Bike riders of all ages and abilities are welcome at this bicycle and music festival. There’s a bike tour, live music, overnight camping, and a beer garden. Only one of those things is something I like yet I totally want to go. You know when it is attracting a lazy ass like me, it’s got to sound fun.
Check this: 2 days of biking which features live music on stages along the Katy trail. The destination point is Kemper park which will host the main stage and free overnight camping. For $30 (if you register before May 13th, it goes up to $35 after that), you get a tshirt, patch, and transport of your gear to the park. They really want to make this a family event, so kids 16 and under are free.
Can’t handle biking that far? Pay just $10 (for early registration, $15 after May 13th) and you get access to the festivities at Kemper Park, including free overnight camping. And kids 16 and under are still free. Can’t handle camping? The Isle of Capri Boonville is offering a special rate of $79 for May 28th.
