Two suspects arrested in relation to Edmonton LRT assault

Two of the six suspects connected to the assault at Churchill LRT station have been arrested by Edmonton police.

The assault was on February 24 where a 64-year-old man had been assaulted and robbed by a group of six people. The man was taken to hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

So far police have identified three of the suspects and arrested two of them, with the final three suspects still unidentified.

The first unknown suspect is described as being of medium build and height, wearing a white puffy jacket with a maroon/purple scarf, black pants, white running shoes with no laces and carrying a black backpack.

The second unknown suspect is described as male, 30-40 years old, 5’7” to 5’9” tall with a slim build, dyed hair, wearing a black face mask and a black hat with a cannabis leaf on the front, a black and orange scarf, black jacket with a ‘Jordan’ logo on the front, dark blue jeans, dark grey shoes carrying a grey backpack. He was also riding a light grey coloured bicycle.

The third suspect is described as female, 25-30 years old, medium height and medium build, shoulder length straight brown hair, wearing a brown sweater, teal baggy pants, white running shoes, carrying a black and white blanket or piece of clothing.

Through police tips, the other three suspects have been identified as 21-year-old Markus Lee Gladue, 28-year-old Brady Rodney Desroches-Smith, and 35-year-old Travis Houle.

Desroches-Smith and Houle have both been arrested, while Gladue has not been located.

Police are now looking for anyone who may have information on any of the remaining suspects. Those who do are asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
